The global pledging summit and concert organised by the Commission and Global Citizen are only one day away. They will bring the world together and mobilise additional funding to develop and universally deploy coronavirus vaccines, tests and treatments.

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said: “We will only end this pandemic when it has been ended everywhere. For that, we need to invest in producing vaccines at unprecedented speed and scale. And we need to make this vaccine affordable. A task of this size can only happen if the world unites. This is why we are teaming up with Global Citizen and with artists. I trust their power to bring people together, mobilise their energy and trigger change. So tune in tomorrow! And together, let’s build a corona-free future for all.”

The concert will feature performances from Chloe x Halle, Christine and the Queens, Coldplay, For Love Choir, J Balvin, Jennifer Hudson, J’Nai Bridges with Gustavo Dudamel, Los Angeles Philharmonic & YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles), Justin Bieber and Quavo, Lin-Manuel Miranda and select members of the Original Broadway Production of HAMILTON with Jimmy Fallon & The Roots, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Usher and Yemi Alade.
