Podgorica, 15 November 2016 – Representatives of business organisations from the European Union met with the Ambassador of the EU to Montenegro, Aivo Orav, in the EU Info centre. During their three-day study visit, they also met with representatives of relevant state institutions to learn about the investment climate and business opportunities in Montenegro.
During the period from 14 to 16 November, ten representatives of European business organisations also met with foreign investors in Montenegro, and visited some of the most significant investments in the country, such as Porto Montenegro and Lustica Bay. They learned from olive growers in Ulcinj how some of the EU funds are used for business development, and in Kotor they had the chance to hear how EU-funded projects in the civic sector are contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage.
The visit by the representatives of business organisations from the EU is a part of the activities funded by the European Commission aimed at informing and communicating about the EU’s enlargement policy.
