Young Montenegrins and Albanians in raspberry crops

Agriculture represents a major economic potential in both Montenegro and Albania. For this reason, it is important to make full use of it and ensure that young people in both countries become more engaged in agricultural activities.

This project was aimed at providing new ideas in the agricultural sector for the purpose of economic and rural development, as well as at reducing unemployment rates at the local level in the municipalities of Petnjica (Montenegro) and Vau i Dejës (Albania). This was achieved through the provision of raspberry crops, modern equipment and training sessions for young unemployed people.

Furthermore, this project enabled sustainable development of raspberry production, created new jobs and facilitated the registration of producers in the targeted areas. It also improved cooperation among producers in Montenegro and Albania and helped promote the green economy and land management in both countries.
