ČEK: Financing Green Businesses

We started with an idea, a green idea about a cleaner and more sustainable world, about a business that loves nature and is in harmony with it. We prepared a business plan and learned how to promote our business with the greenest marketing. All that remained was to learn how to find funding for our business. Nikola Mijanović helped us with this aspect during the fourth ČEK workshop: From Green Ideas to Green Businesses, which focused on financing green businesses.

This workshop provided participants with an understanding of various sources of funding for green businesses and taught them how to find support for sustainability-oriented projects.

“Since the participants are starting from scratch, the first part of the workshop was dedicated to explaining to them how to register a business, while the second part specifically addressed funding sources,” said Mijanović.

Through an overview of the options, such as green investments, sustainable development funds, subsidies for environmental projects, and alternative funding models, participants learned how to secure the necessary resources to start and grow their green enterprise.

During March and April, and in collaboration with the NGO Green Wave, Europe House organised a series of workshops titled ČEK: From Green Ideas to Green Businesses. With the help of great lecturers, we learned that with innovative solutions focused on sustainability and environmental protection we can start a green business a contribute to a greener, cleaner, and happier planet.
