Transport is a cornerstone of European integration. For this reason, it is very important for candidate countries to develop safe, sustainable and connected transport policies and infrastructure.

This project aims to contribute to achieving progress in the Montenegro’s accession negotiations for EU membership in the area of transport, particularly by ensuring alignment of national legislation with the EU acquis and increasing the capacities for the implementation of projects. More precisely, the project addresses the needs and priorities of Montenegrin authorities with a view to improving administrative, institutional, technical, planning, programming, procurement, contract management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation capacities of the transport sector institutions.
