Poland donated 40,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Montenegro. This is a continuation of the assistance that this country has been providing to Montenegro in its fight against the coronavirus. During 2020, Poland also provided disinfectants and 100,000 face masks.
“The period of the pandemic showed that the fight against COVID-19 is our joint fight and a challenge that we must face together. One for all, all for one – these words could be the motto of the fight against covid”, pointed out the Polish Ambassador Artur Dmochowski.
The Minister of Health, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, thanked for the significant donation, which, as she pointed out, represents an expression of mutual trust and solidarity of the Republic of Poland towards Montenegro.
“Once again, I want to emphasize how important this donation is and how important it is for citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible and in that way protect themselves and their loved ones from this vicious and unpredictable disease,” Borovinić Bojović emphasized.
The Polish Ambassador expressed satisfaction that the cooperation between the two countries is getting stronger every year, and the relations between the countries are growing closer and more friendly.
“Since the establishment of bilateral relations between Poland and Montenegro, we have been trying to build mutual trust. We are providing substantial and practical support in many areas, primarily in the field of defence and European negotiations. We support Montenegro on its Euro-Atlantic path. We supported its membership in the North Atlantic Alliance, and now we are one of the strongest advocates of the need for Montenegro to join the EU,” said Ambassador Dmochowski.
