The Republic of Poland donated 60,840 doses of Pfizer’s COVID–19 vaccine to Montenegro. This valuable donation to the Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović was handed over by the First Lady of the Republic of Poland, Mrs. Agata Kornhauser-Duda, as part of the official visit of the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, to Montenegro.
Minister Borovinić Bojović expressed immense gratitude on behalf of the Government of Montenegro, the health care system and the citizens of Montenegro to the friendly Polish people.
“Vaccines, together with respecting the prescribed epidemiological measures, are our main means to achieve the goal, and that is certainly the life we lived before 2020, a life without COVID. That is why this gesture of yours is especially important to us, because with a sufficient number of vaccines and a sufficient number of vaccinated, we will be able to save human lives, and that is our principal mission,” the Minister of Health pointed out.
This is the second donation from the Republic of Poland, which donated 40,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines to Montenegro at the end of October.
“I hope that this donation will help a large number of Montenegrin citizens to get vaccinated, and thus, thanks to international solidarity, we will be able to jointly deal with the coronavirus,” said Mrs. Duda.
