The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will be on an official visit to Montenegro on Tuesday, 31 October 2023, as part of a regional tour of the Western Balkans.
President von der Leyen will meet with the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, at Villa “Gorica” in Podgorica. Following the meeting, at 09:45 AM, there will be a joint press conference with President von der Leyen and President Milatović. The press conference will be broadcast live on the Europe by Satellite (EbS) platform.
At 10:15 AM, at Villa “Gorica,” President von der Leyen will meet with the Prime Minister who will be holding the office at that time. After the meeting, the President of the European Commission will visit the electricity transmission facility in Podgorica, which is part of the Transbalkan Electricity Transmission Corridor, co-funded by the European Union.
To attend the joint press conference of President von der Leyen and President Milatović, you need to request accreditation from the Public Relations Office of the President of Montenegro at president.info@gmail.com, no later than 7:00 PM.
Media presence is not expected during President von der Leyen’s visit to the electricity transmission facility. After the visit, European House will distribute the press release, photos, and video footage of the visit to the media.
