On Tuesday April 10th, NGO CEDEM held three workshops for the Roma community on the topics of democracy, human rights and domestic violence as part of marking the Roma Day. The workshop was held in cooperation with NGO Roma Association Montenegro, NGO Romska Drustva and Čovjek-Rom Association, with support of HELP.
Director of CEDEM, Milena Besic, said that the aim of these workshops was to promote and protect human rights and expressed hope that everything that they learn in this course will be able to apply in their families and communities.
Representative of CEDEM, Marko Pejović, who held a workshop on democracy, said that it is important to learn about it at a young age, and to use the gained knowledge to become active citizens and get involved in decision process.
