E-services and digital infrastructure as a measure of response to COVID-19

E-services are considered one of the greatest innovations of today. They improve the quality of service and provide alternative communication channels to their users.

The COVID-19 pandemic has drawn attention to the importance of technology and e-services, but also to the pivotal role of an effective, inclusive, and accountable government. As a result, this project focuses on the digital transformation of public administration through the development of platforms and advanced e-services. It also contributes to establishing efficient and simplified electronic procedures for citizens and businesses, as well as to improving data protection.

In other words, the project seeks to support the development of e-services, with the aim of simplifying bureaucratic procedures for citizens and businesses so as to make it easier for them to perform regular duties and exercise their rights. In this way, e-services will shorten and simplify procedures, minimise face-to-face contact and reduce paperwork as much as possible.

The outputs of the project include the e-Citizens portal and a data protection system in public administration authorities. In addition, the project will raise awareness among citizens and businesses about the importance and benefits of digital services and tools, while also enabling them to participate in creating services that are necessary to meet their needs.
